My letter did end up getting accepted, so I’m glad about that. I just have a certain standard for how organized these things should feel, the process was a bit messy at times. It worked out in the end, but I think it could’ve been handled more smoothly.

I was a little unsure at first, but looking back, I probably worried more than I needed to. The site seemed legit, the information was easy to understand, and everything worked the way it was supposed to. I got what I needed without any issues. My only regret is that I had to wait a bit for support to get back to me, so I’m taking off one star for that

"Canceling Was Way More Hassle Than It Should’ve Been!!!"
I tried to cancel soon after placing my order, and honestly... it ended up being way more annoying than I expected!! The refund took longer than they originally said it would, so I had to follow up just to see what was going on. I did eventually get my money back, thankfully, but overall... not a great experience!!!

"Helpful support, even if my timing was a bit fuzzy"
After I signed up, I had a small question and reached out to support. I think they got back to me the next day, or maybe it was late the same day — I kind of lost track. Either way, it took a little longer than I was hoping, but their reply was actually helpful and didn’t feel pushy at all. They helped me get it sorted out, so overall I’d say it was a good experience.

I ordered the kit on a weekday because I was trying to get a few things done around the house that weekend, and it did eventually show up, so no real issue there. It just took a bit longer than I expected, and I didn’t really get many updates while I was waiting, so I kept checking the tracking more than I probably needed to. The box looked decent when it arrived, and everything that was supposed to be inside was there. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience at all, just average shipping-wise.

"Pretty Decent, But Some Info Was Hard to Find"
I used americanservicepets it was mostly fine. Their privacy info was explained in a way that made sense, like what details they collect and why they need them, so that helped me feel a little more at ease. At the same time, I did get kind of annoyed because I had to click around to find more about their data security. It’s not a huge deal, and overall I’d say the experience was okay, maybe even good, but I do think they could make that stuff easier to spot upfront

I just renewed my letter on American Service Pets it was super simple. I don’t know why anyone would make it sound complicated, because it only took me a few minutes. I also didn’t have to start from scratch, which was a big relief.

I found what I needed really quickly, and the forms were simple to get through. One page did load a little slow, but not enough to be a big deal. Weirdly, I remember there was this tiny loading spinner that made me stare at it for a few seconds, but overall the whole thing was fine...

"Easy consult from home"
It was nice not having to leave the house for this. I did the telehealth consult from my couch, which already made things easier. The appointment itself was quick, and the person I talked to was friendly and explained things in a way that made sense. The site was simple too, I didn’t really have to think much to get through it. Oh, the only annoying part was waiting a little longer than I expected for the email afterward, so I knocked off a star for that. But overall, super convenient.

I tried americanservicepets.com and the intake questionnaire was okay, honestly. It asked about my pet, what I needed, and some everyday stuff I deal with, so it didn’t feel like, you know, totally random or pointless.
A few parts did feel kind of too simple though. I started answering and then realized, wait, this doesn’t really let me explain the full situation. Some of the options were close enough, but not exactly right for me.
Overall, it was fine. Not bad, not amazing. It was easy to get through, which I appreciated, but I did come away feeling like it maybe could’ve asked a little more or given more space to explain things

I used americanservicepets.com for the paperwork, and to be fair, it did include the basic information I needed. I’m not trying to make it sound like it was useless or anything, but some of the wording didn’t really fit my situation and a few details felt kind of off or missing. I ended up having to double check everything with my housing office anyway, so it didn’t save me as much time as I expected. It wasn’t the worst experience, but I do think the documents could have been clearer

"Cheap card, flimsy clip, and a canned apology"
I was disappointed with this. The ID card feels thin and cheap, and the printing on mine looked a little blurry. The clip/lanyard wasn’t any better either, just kind of flimsy and not something I’d expect to last long. For what I paid, I really thought it would feel more durable. I also reached out and got one of those generic canned apology responses, which just made it more frustrating because it didn’t feel like anyone actually cared about the issue.

"Renewal process"

Several weeks before my dog's ESA expired, I received multiple emails to renew. My expiration date was November 6th, 2025 and to avoid missing my renewal date, I submitted my renewal on October 29th. I received my renewal; however, it has a start dated of October 29th and had a different Patient ID. When I called Customer Service, they claimed they don't actually do renewals, they process them like a new request. Since this resulted in an overlap of their Letters, I asked them to fix it. They said they don't have access to fix the dates and so I asked for a Manager. They said one would call me back. When no one called me back, I tried emailing and got the same run around and was referred back to the phone support. I tried phone support again and again got the same run around.


Bottonline, their Customer Service sucks and their renewal process is a scam to get you to renew before your letter expires. I advise all to be careful in dealing with this group. From reading other reviews, it's obvious they are very willing to mislead you and take your money. I will be looking for another organization once this letter expires.
